Studying abroad in Madrid during the summer was an incredible opportunity for me to immerse myself in a new culture, learn a new language, and explore a new city. Fortunately, I was able to do so the summer of my second year of law school. I had a blast while living in Madrid! The sun sets around 10 PM at night, the streets are clean, I just felt safe! I did quite a bit of sightseeing while I was in Madrid. If you like adventure, history, and an overall beautiful experience, here are some of the top places to visit in Madrid :

1. El Retiro Park: El Retiro Park is a beautiful green space in the heart of Madrid, and it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind after a busy day of classes. Take a stroll around the lake, have a picnic on the grass, or visit the Crystal Palace.

2. Museo Nacional del Prado: The Prado Museum is one of the most important art museums in the world, and it’s home to an impressive collection of European art from the 12th to the 19th century. Don’t miss the works of Francisco de Goya, Diego Velázquez, and El Greco.

3. Plaza Mayor: Plaza Mayor is one of the most beautiful squares in Madrid, and it’s a great place to experience the city’s lively atmosphere. Have a coffee in one of the cafes, watch the street performers, or simply people-watch.
